RICK BRIDGLAND – Manager
Rick worked for trainer,
Paul Cole for twelve years, breaking in yearlings, and acting as travelling
head lad, so has a natural feel and empathy for the horse and its needs
during complex shipping manoeuvres by road and air. Rick joined Horse U.K.
in 1989 and was immediately involved and responsible for the shipment of
horses throughout Europe by road and sea. For the past seven years Rick has
been involved with the shipment of many famous horses by air, whilst
continuing with the road and sea aspect as well.
PHIL JONES – Shipping
Executive
Phil Jones comes from a
distant freight forwarding background with a love and in depth knowledge of
racing. Phil joined the Lep Bloodstock / Horse U.K. team in 1987 and was one
the original members when Rapido was foundered. He is a valuable source of
information and a key figure within the organisation. Phil has been
responsible for the shipment of many winners of Breeders Cup and
International races by air over the years, so is ideally placed to advise on
the best possible way to get your horse to its destination successfully.
Phil has an all round ability to ship your racehorse, mare, yearling,
showjumper or retired hack and pony to any reasonable destination of your
choice by road, sea or air.
